Elton Park is an eclectic mix of residences, retail and inviting public spaces in the heart of Detroit’s historic Corktown neighborhood. It spans multiple blocks and includes four newly constructed buildings and row homes as well as the iconic and newly renovated Checker Cab building. The developers of Elton Park came to Gyro Creative in need of a brand identity that was both contemporary and historically relevant. Extensive research was conducted into the history and community of Corktown to ensure that the naming and identity that was developed fit seamlessly into the fabric of the neighborhood. The concepts presented differ from the final designs selected by the client and approved by Gyro Creative. They have been modified to more accurately reflect my aesthetic for the sole purpose of this site only.
